Grateful. So grateful. To think that at the begin

Grateful. So grateful.

To think that at the beginning of this year I was at the end of my rope from trying to pursue this path in equine photography, my mom being hospitalized on a ventilator and undergoing a second open heart surgery and relearning to eat, swallow, walk and talk again, to my business lifting off this summer and being connected with some amazing people in the horse world. 2023 has stripped me down, built me back up and blown me away.

To my clients: Thank you for connecting to my work. Thank you for choosing me and being so understanding as I navigated an incredible influx of work as the sole employee/operator of my business and so patiently waiting (and still awaiting) for your images. It is a true honor to make these memories of your horses, dogs and even cats.

To the polo community: Thank you for welcoming me in and bringing me under your collective wing. You have become a family to me and documenting your stories on and off the field has been one of my greatest joys.

To my equine photographer colleagues: Thank you for always lifting me up when I was down, for listening to my struggles and offering advice and support, especially when I didn’t think I could keep going - not just this year - but the past 3 years since we met.

Today, through the exhaustion, and the endless stack of editing I am still working day and night to complete (even right now before heading out to Thanksgiving dinner) my heart is bursting with gratitude for this calling. No matter how burned out I have been this year and feeling like I have nothing else left to give, I continued to push through, and kept creating no matter how I felt or what was going on in my life because I truly love this job so much.

Following in my dad’s footsteps and pursuing photography as a career has never once been easy for me. I have been clawing my way inch-by-inch, day-by-day, year-by year to keep following this unexplainable, burning desire embedded in my DNA to be an equine and pet photographer and to tell your stories with your beloved animals.
